Make America Sing Again!
Je zou toch moeten aannemen dat in een land met 10,000 prachtige stemmen we beter moeten kunnen doen bij een nationale gebeurtenis dan Talent Show runner-up Jackie Evancho.
Als Pres. Trump's thema is 'Make America Great, Again!' zorg dan dat in ieder geval het volkslied mooi gezongen word! Dit was off-key met een 'wavering' begin. En natuurlijk weer technische (mike) storing!
Opnieuw een slof naar de TV gegooid!

Levine and Domingo, Storming the Met Anew!

Are Technical Failures A Thing Of The Past?

THINK AGAIN!!!!
Mariah Carey appeared to hold back tears after a lip sync failure during her New Year's performance in Times Square. The "All I Want For Christmas Is You" singer struggled to recover after the wrong song appeared to be played while she attempted performing live on ABC.
In front of more than a million new year revellers, Carey said: "We didn't have a check for this song... we're missing some of the vocals, but it is what it is."
At one point, Carey stopped singing and began pacing the stage - visibly upset - while encouraging fans to finish off the lyrics to "Emotions" for her.

Von Der Wiener Philharmoniker, Ein Prosit!
Zeer benieuwd hoe Dudamel's performance is. Ik heb de concerten beneden bekeken en kom neer op de volgende all-time ranking:
1. Von Karajan
2. Harnoncourt
3. Kleiber
1. Von Karajan
2. Harnoncourt
3. Kleiber
Conductors
Boskovsky, concertmaster of the orchestra 1936–1979, conducted the Vienna New Year's concerts from 1955–1979.
In 1980, Lorin Maazel
became the first non-Austrian conductor of the concert. The practice of
choosing a different star conductor every year (and occasional star
soloists) began in 1987 after seven appearances in a row by Maazel.
Members of the orchestra voted to rotate conductors.
This may have occurred with the telecasts going worldwide, perhaps to make the audio and video recordings more marketable. The first of these rotating stars was Herbert von Karajan, then 78 and in frail health.
